Daily Deals
Sep 23, 2017

As mentioned previously, we enjoy being frugal. And what better way to be frugal, than being notified of Daily Deals in your inbox! Below are a few of our favorite daily deal websites, and as the title suggests, when an item sells out, it is no longer available, so time is of the essence. We recommend signing up for notifications from each of these websites, and save money on things you need. (Being frugal does not mean buying things you don’t need, just because it’s a good deal. But, then, there is always a birthday or Christmas coming up, so set your budget, and if you see a good gift item at a great price, grab it before its gone!) Except for the Yugster “refer a friend” link, we are providing these favorite daily deal recommendations without any compensation…and we would recommend Yugster without the link. We just simply want to share our favorite deal-shopper websites. So, enjoy!

  • CNET’s Cheapskate Blog: Before purchasing any electronics, we rely on the thorough and unbiased product reviews provided by CNET. So, when their blog contributor, Rick Broida, posts his daily Cheapskate deal, we pay attention! As he states, “The primary goal of the Cheapskate is to spotlight one killer deal (and maybe a bonus deal or two) every day of the week. I love cheap stuff, and I love sharing deals even more.” We recommended signing up for his blog notifications, so you can get deal notifications in your inbox, before the item(s) sells out.
  • Yugster: “The best daily deals on the net” – A new one-day sale is posted every morning, plus a number of other great deals that last longer than a day. We found a great deal on refurbished FitBits…not a “need,” but was a great and affordable gift for family members that were starting an exercise regimen. We regularly watch Yugster’s email newsletter for daily deals.
  • Brad’s Deals: “The Best Handpicked Deals and Coupons for Online Retailers” – This website hand picks the best sales, promo codes, online & printable coupons for you. My son needed bedding for his new apartment, and we got an awesome deal on a bed-in-a-bag set from Macy’s. Brad’s Deal’s newletter regularly has a number of great deals and coupons for hundred’s of retail merchants.
  • Meh: One new deal, every day at midnight. This website just cracks us up…the product write-ups, FAQ’s, and puppet videos are completely random and entertaining! Because there is only one random, great deal a day which typically sells out fast, we actually have the Meh website load automatically every morning when we open our Internet browser window. We have purchased a number of daily deal items from Meh, but our favorite, and a hit with all its recipients, was the key-chain breathalyzer. Definitely not a need, but it was a cheap and fun gift.
